The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) introduced regulation R155, which requires automotive manufacturers to implement a Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) and obtain Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) starting July 2024. ISO/SAE 21434 serves as the primary guideline for compliance with R155.
